In this study, I worked on a smooth piece of leftover MDF. By starting with a warm, brown oil paint base after priming, the tone was immediately set. This work was painted alla prima, in a single session. Despite this, a visual layering effect has emerged.
The goal was to capture stillness and tranquility, a moment of stillness that is almost tangible. The wet-on-wet painting technique keeps the paint open and vibrant, with each stroke contributing to a soft appearance. It's a small study, but one that can transform the atmosphere of a space and bring the viewer to a moment of stillness.

Delivery
Paintings are very fragile and unique. Within the Netherlands and northern Belgium, paintings are therefore delivered personally as standard. This allows the recipient to view the work immediately and, if dissatisfied for any reason, cancel the purchase. The delivery date is always agreed upon.
The work can also be shipped by parcel post, usually within four days. Need it by a specific date? Please contact us to be sure.
