Painting Classes in Oosterhout

Do you want to learn to paint, further develop your painting technique, or simply enjoy a few hours of free painting regularly? I will soon be starting painting classes in Oosterhout for various levels, from beginners to advanced.

You can choose between portrait painting or free painting, where you decide what you want to create. We work with acrylic paint, and for those who wish, there is also the option to (learn to) work with oil paint.

The classes are for everyone aged 16 and over. No experience is necessary. Even if you have been painting for some time and want to further develop your technique or personal style, you are welcome.

What can you learn?

During the painting classes, there is room for both technique and your own ideas. Depending on your level and what you want to learn, we can, for example, work on:

- mixing colors and combining colors

- composition and image structure

- working with different brushes and painting techniques

- setting up a painting and developing it in layers

- painting from a reference or your own inspiration

- painting portraits

- the basics of working with oil paint

I will look at where you are and what you want to improve. Sometimes it's nice to practice a specific technique, and sometimes you just want the freedom to paint relaxed and see where it takes you.

Painting Class Offerings

Basic Portrait Painting Course

Do you want to learn how to paint a portrait? In the basic course, you will learn step-by-step the most important techniques for painting a face. We will look at proportions, color, light and dark, and how to build up a portrait.

This course is suitable if you have little or no experience with (portrait) painting.

Advanced Portrait Painting

If you have been painting for some time and want to further delve into portrait painting, you can work on more complex subjects and techniques. In addition to the face, more attention will be given to the entire portrait, such as painting clothing, hands, and backgrounds.

Free Painting

Do you prefer a different subject? With free painting, you choose your own theme. This could be a landscape, still life, flowers, animals, a figure, or a completely original idea.

You will receive guidance in developing your painting, but there will primarily be ample opportunity to discover, experiment, and enjoy painting.

Painting in Oosterhout

The painting classes take place in Oosterhout, near Breda. The location is also easily accessible from surrounding towns such as Made, Den Hout, and Dongen.

The group consists of a maximum of 8 participants, ensuring sufficient room for personal guidance and questions.

Painting doesn't always have to be complicated or performance-driven. It can also simply be a moment to clear your head, work with your hands, and create something. Meanwhile, you'll learn to look at color, form, light, and contrast with increasing skill.
